A jailer is set free

Are you a Christian? Do you have a living relationship with Jesus Christ? Simply attending a “church” or being born of Christian parents does not qualify you as a Christian. Many years ago a jailer in Philippi came into the jail cell of two of his prisoners, Paul and Silas, and fell down trembling and asked this simple question, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Paul and Silas responded, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:29-30.

You might ask, saved from what? The Bible makes it clear that we have all sinned and missed God’s standard which is perfection (Rom 3:23). As a result, we all deserve to die, since the wages (or consequence) of sin is death (Rom 6:23). We truly believe that the problems that we see around us today stem from simply disobeying God’s principles for living. Turning to Christ makes all the difference. That jailer needed to repent (i.e. change his mind) and put his faith in Christ. This is what you need to do too. It does not matter what you have done in the past, The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross to save sinners. He took your place on that cross and endured the punishment that we each deserved so that we could all go free. This is not a gimmick, it is the truth. If you need more information send us an email but we strongly suggest that you get a Bible and read the passage in Acts 16:25-34. You will see that God did a miracle in that jailer’s life. He could do the same in your life too!!
